SkinPen® Precision Elite microneedles pierce the skin, increasing blood flow. Immune cells work to clean and disinfect the area, setting the stage for repair. This stage helps prepare the skin to rebuild with fresh, healthy cells.

The micro-wounds created by SkinPen® Precision Elite multiply new skin cells to replace the damaged ones, while collagen and elastin fibers start to form. This stage builds a fresh foundation of skin tissue, giving it renewed strength and elasticity.

This final stage supports the skin’s natural regeneration process, revealing skin that looks healthier and rejuvenated.

What You Can Expect

Before Treatment

You’ll begin by gently cleansing the skin to prepare the treatment area. For added comfort, a topical numbing cream may be applied. This helps ensure the patient remains comfortable throughout the procedure.

During Treatment

Once the numbing has taken effect, you'll glide the SkinPen® Precision Elite device over the treatment area in a smooth, even pattern. As the microneedles create controlled micro-channels in the skin, patients typically feel light pressure and a mild buzzing sensation. Most treatments take about 30 minutes to complete.

After Treatment

Post-treatment, you can expect the skin to appear slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn. Common temporary responses include dryness, tightness, or light peeling, which generally subside within 24 to 72 hours. Patients may apply makeup and sunscreen after 24 hours. Be sure to refer them to the patient labeling for full safety information.
